I'm a follower of Jesus, which makes me a Christian.
When you look at the historical Jesus, you need to ask yourself, "was this guy really who he said he was?" In the Bible, Jesus openly tells us that he is God (John 10:30). If he isn't telling the truth, then he is clearly delusional, and therefore not worth paying attention to. If he is telling the truth, then we had better sit up and listen!
Jesus tells us there is but one way to salvation - Himself. In the Bible, Jesus says: "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father except through Me" (John 14:6).
I'd encourage you to explore the historical Jesus. Start by reading one of the four gospels - Matthew, Mark, Luke and John - in the New Testament of the Bible, and decide whether you too, will chose to follow Jesus.
